The Faculty of Mass Communication at October University for Modern Sciences and Arts (MSA University) is conducting the 8th ACT Conference entitled ” Media and Youth Empowerment” on the 28th and 29th of November, 2022. This conference comes within the framework of Egypt’s Vision 2030 and in line with the UN Sustainable Development Goals to support the role of digital and traditional media in empowering the youth socially, politically, economically and culturally.
1- The Role of Digital and Traditional Media in:
- Developing the educational capabilities of the youth; their mental and practical skills, and vocational training in a way that enables them to discover their selves, abilities and talents.
- Fostering the cultural level and developing the skills of artistic appreciation among young people through supporting the cultural identity of the Egyptian and Arab youth.
- Raising the level of health and psychological awareness among the youth.
- Stimulating the youth to develop progress and become entrepreneurs capable of accomplishing an appropriate economic reality for them.
- Developing young people’s awareness of the problems of society in addition to develop their abilities in voluntary work.
- Preparing leaders, developing political awareness among young people, and motivating them to participate in politics and take initiatives.
2- Monitoring the extent to which digital and traditional media contribute to addressing various youth problems and provide solutions.
3- The impact of digital and traditional media on Egyptian and Arab youth; their reality and their future.
4- Digital media as a tool for empowering or excluding Egyptian and Arab youth.
