Field trip to Salah Eldin El Ayoubi Citadel
MSA always cares about its creative, amazing & awesome students and we always want to link their theoretical lessons to the practical life.
So the Interior design department held a field trip to Salah Eldin El Ayoubi Citadel, in relation to Heritage of Interior Design course, for the students of the third level.
They started the tour with Al-Nasir Muhammad Mosque, in which a Dr. started to give some historical background about the mosque and the Mamluk style. After that, each student chose a perspective shot to start sketching it.
Then the students headed to the next mosque, which is Mohamed Ali Mosque, where also the Dr. gave a brief historical background about it and about the ottoman style. Students also started to choose shots for sketching the mosque.
The visited locations reflects a great example to the interior styles of the Islamic civilization, where this helped our students in more understanding to the theoretical lectures.
