MSA University Launches Egypt’s First Occupational Ergonomics Course
October University for Modern Sciences and Arts (MSA University) has taken a significant step forward in academic innovation by launching “Egypt’s first-ever Occupational Ergonomics course”, Developed by the Faculty of Physical Therapy, this innovative course is meant to equip students with state-of-the-art knowledge and skills needed in this field.
The course was inaugurated with the presence and participation of notable practitioners in ergonomics; Prof Olfat A. Diab, Prof Rafik Radwan, Dr Osama Said and Dr Walaa Brika.
Apart from physical ergonomics, the syllabus also examines cognitive and organizational issues, providing an all-round understanding of workplace wellbeing to students.
Course Objectives: – Introduction to Occupational Ergonomics Musculoskeletal Disorders – Recognizing Ergonomic Issues – Evaluating Ergonomic Risk Factors – Prioritizing Ergonomic Risks – Manual Material Handling Analysis – Ergonomics of seated & standing environment
